Get moo-ving this Chinese New Year and ring in the year of the ox with us at River Hongbao 2021. Put your best face forward and take part in our #NiuYearNiuMe challenge to stand a chance to win $588 worth of shopping vouchers!

Contest period:
8 February 2021 to 16 February 2021 (Extended to 20 February 2021)

All you have to do is:

  1. Show us your best impersonation of an ox on TikTok using the 'Time Warp' effect and the 'Moo' track by Doja Cat.
  2. Share your creation on TikTok as a public video entry.
  3. Use the hashtags #NiuYearNiuMe and #SocialDistancing, follow and tag @riverhongbao on TikTok to qualify.

The three most creative participants stand to win $588 worth of Frasers shopping vouchers each!

Terms & Conditions

By taking part in this challenge, participants shall be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions. The River Hongbao committee reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions without prior notice.


This contest is open to all Singapore citizens and permanent residents above the age of 13 with a valid TikTok account. Particpants below the age of 13 are required to seek parental or guardian consent. Members of the River Hongbao committee, their immediate families, affiliates, subsidiaries, related agencies and suppliers and/or persons living in the same household will not be eligible to participate in the contest.

Duration of contest:

The contest will run from 8 February 2021, 12am SGT to 20 February 2021, 11.59pm SGT. Entries received outside of this time period will not be eligible to win. The winner will be announced on River Hongbao's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok by 28 February 2021.

Contest mechanics:

To participate in the contest, participants must have a personal public TikTok account on the official TikTok mobile application. The use of public business accounts will not be qualified.

Participants are required to recreate the time warp TikTok posted on River Hongbao's TikTok account and post their entries on their personal TikTok accounts. Participants are also required to follow and tag @riverhongbao and include the hashtag #NiuYearNiuMe and #SocialDistancing in their entries to qualify.

Each entry must make use of the time warp filter and the song 'Moo' by Doja Cat. Entries must also be entirely the original work of the participant, and must not contain any inappropriate, defamatory, discriminatory, demeaning, offensive, obscene, indecent, sexually explicit or blasphemous material or promote, incite or instruct any dangerous conduct, or commission of any crime or acts of violence.

The top three most creative entries as chosen by the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clans Association at the end of the contest will win.

Participants may share their videos on other social media platforms, but only entries posted on TikTok with the relevant hashtags and tags will be eligible to win.

Participants may submit as many entries as they wish, provided each one is original and unique.


Top three most creative submissions will walk away with 1 x $55 worth of Frasers shopping voucher each.

Winners are deemed to consent to the River Hongbao committee reposting their TikTok video entries on River Hongbao's website and social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok for marketing purposes or otherwise in perpetuity without remuneration. Winners are also deemed to acknowledge and agree that the River Hongbao committee has the right to edit, adapt, modify, reproduce, promote, and otherwise use the promotional materials created, including videos and photographs, to produce public relations materials, magazine printed ads, editorials, marketing tools and other printed matters, including materials for the River Hongbao website and/or website of any of its affiliates. All rights, title and interest in and to the abovementioned promotional and/or public relations materials, including all intellectual property rights and moral rights thereto, shall be the property of the River Hongbao committee.

The prize winners will be announced by 28 February 2021 on River Hongbao's social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram and TikTok. The maximum number of prizes that an eligible winner may win under this contest is one prize per person. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable, and must be collected within one week after the announcement of results. The River Hongbao committee reserves the right to substitute the prizes above with that of a similar value at any point in time.

The River Hongbao committee and/or its agency may require prize winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age and/or proof of residency as a condition for the claiming of prizes. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the sole discretion of the River Hongbao committee and/or its agency. The prizes will only be awarded to the winner and not to proxies or representatives of the winners.

Other rights:

The River Hongbao committee reserves the right to reject any entries that do not comply with the aforementioned terms and conditions, and disqualify any participant for disrupting the contest or for breaching any of the terms and conditions at any point in time.

The River Hongbao committee's decision on any matter is final and no considerations or appeals will be entertained. The River Hongbao committee reserves the right to amend the aformentioned terms and conditions at any point in time without prior notice.

If for any reason the contest is unable to be carried out in its entierty as planned, the River Hongbao committee reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest or invalidate any affected entries.
